I am a wood artist with a passion for creating classic, elegant bowls and vessels on a wood lathe. Every piece I create is unique, a collaboration between design intent and opportunities or limits in the raw material. While shape is paramount, I often incorporate natural defects found in the wood, celebrating the singular character of each tree. My vessel forms are often inspired by Native American and Greco-Roman pottery. Most of my raw material is sustainably harvested from local woodlands.
